⚑ Configuring Quick Access for RDP

πŸ“ Step 1: Create a Quick Access Application

  1. Go to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center.

  2. Navigate to:
    Global Secure Access (Preview) β†’ Applications β†’ Quick Access

  3. Click + Add application.

  4. Configure the application:

    • Name: Enter Quick Access (recommended).

    • Connector Group: Select the group where your healthy connectors are registered (e.g., "Default").

  5. Click Save.

πŸ”§ Step 2: Define the Application Segment (Your RDP Server)

  1. In the Quick Access application, go to Application segments.

  2. Click + Add segment.

  3. Configure the segment:

    • Name: RDP Access (or a descriptive name).

    • FQDN: Enter the full domain name of your target RDP server (e.g., server01.contoso.local).

    • Port: 3389 (default RDP port).

  4. Click Save.

πŸ‘₯ Step 3: Assign Users to the Enterprise Application

  1. Once saved, a new Enterprise Application is automatically created in Entra ID.

  2. In the Quick Access application, click Edit application settings (this redirects you to the Enterprise App).

  3. Go to Users and groups β†’ Add user/group.

  4. Select the users or security groups that should have access to this RDP resource.

  5. Click Assign.
